Well, our first week of ministry has come and gone, and man did the time sure fly by! Our first day back at Joshua Project was spent with a welcome back party at the beach, complete with games and treats. It was awesome to see all the kids again. Some of the kids were a little distant, having us be gone for so long. It’ll take a while to re-build the relationships again.

House visits also went very well this past week. On Thursday, we had the privilege to go to a house church that one of the ladies, Hester, attends. Despite the fact that the entire service was in Xhosa, it was a really neat experience. It was amazing to just come together with people of different races and backgrounds to all worship God. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I’m really excited to see what God has in store for me this semester. I really look forward to building deeper relationships with the ladies that we go visit while doing house visits and to continue loving on the kids of the community.
