Wow—time has sure flown! It's hard to believe that our time here in J-Bay is coming to an end. I'm sure that most of the team is feeling very mixed emotions—torn between being sad of leaving, but excited for what awaits us at home.

I was reading our blog to see what our team has wrote on over the past couple days, and I was inspired by Shelley's update, and would like to share about two ladies that Erin and I visit—Aunt Sally and her daughter, Caroline.

We met Sally early last semester through Auntie Matilda. When we first met her, she was a frail lady of about 70, who was suffering from stomach problems and couldn't eat. As far as we could tell, she didn't speak any English. We prayed for her, and then went on our way with Matilda, not really thinking much of it. Matilda kept requesting us to go visit Sally on the days that she couldn't make it, so we kept visiting her, not really knowing what to do. I felt like half the time we were intruding; she didn't seem to care much. We prayed that God would give us conformation if He wanted to continue to visit her.

On one visit, Sally was feeling a lot better than she had been. What took us by even more surprise is that she started to speak to us in English! She's actually quite good at English, but doesn't like to speak it when she's sick. She told us that she enjoyed us visiting her, and would love us to continue to come—there was our conformation! That same day, we met Caroline, her daughter

Caroline is one of five daughters. She takes care of her mother day and night, only leaving when someone else can watch her, and then she goes to work at the Shell Shop her family owns. She is a very strong woman, but doesn't like to burden other people with her problems.

Erin and I continued to visit with this family, and we started to realize that the reason why God had brought us to Sally was to minister to Caroline. Caroline was very burned out and depressed when we first met her. She didn't have anyone to talk to and had to do everything on her own. We were able to encourage her and with time, God instilled a new hope in her.

Sally and Caroline are both believers, but were both down in their faith. But God has brought them out of the desert. We've learned a lot that healing of the heart can bring about healing of physical illnesses, and God is slowly starting to heal Sally's sickness! She was sick the entire two semesters, and now she can eat and is gaining her strength back!

I'm sorry that this is so long, but I just felt like I should share the story of these two amazing women of God. It's been a blessing to see how God has moved in their lives and has brought them from being so thirsty for a new touch from God's spirit, to feeling renewed emotionally and physically.
